Default Class 8.8 Bolts

Im installing a lift kit on my dads Jeep and the bolt that Im suppose to use to bolt the new upper control arm to the axle bushing isnt quite long enough. The bolt isnt long enough to engage all the threads in the nut and I dont like that so I went to Lowes and found some Class 8.8 bolts that are long enough and some nylon lock nuts. My question is, is the 8.8 class bolt strong enough for this application? I found online that the 8.8 bolt is at the bottom of the rating scale with a 12.9 being the highest but is this scale comparable to the grade 2, 5, and 8 scale Im used to? I found this page for SAE bolt strengths but couldnt find a comparable one for metric ratings.

NM I found a chart and a conversion calculator to convert mpa into psi
Chart

Calculator
http://www.chapelsteel.com/mpa-psi.html

So my bolt is comparable to a grade 5
