Default A Chinaman 4 Wheeler Thread

Long story short, bought this off Craigslist. Young kid ran it into the water. And apparently at some point they snapped an exhaust stud off in the head. It wouldn't run except on starting fluid. My list of replacement parts that had to be installed to get it running 100%: new chain, new plug and plug boot, 2 head studs, new ignition switch, and new carb.

The chassis

Topside of the engine

Carb

The exhaust flange hack job

Got the chassis relatively clean

Got the broken exhaust stud out of the head using a bolt extractor kit from harbor freight. $9 well spent IMO

Please refer to the flange pic up top that shows the terrible weld job. This took about 5 mins with a 4 inch grinder to cut that **** off and roughly reshape the flange. It kept me from making a new one from scratch so I'm pleased.

This is what I did to solve the exhaust stud problem. Studs were currently unavailable, so I went to Home Depot and purchased graded bolts. I bolted them into the cylinder head, then cut the heads off, effectively making them studs. Here is them with the heads still on

I threw some honda stickers on it bc it does have TRX inspired fenders and it makes it just a little ghetto fabulous

BTW, its running like a champ now. No issues.

dropped $100 for the bike. About $70 in parts including a carb and chain being the main expenses
