Default Check this insurance scam out!!

I got this e-mail from my insurance company. Like putting a tracking device on your vehicle is ever a good idea.
Maybe I should just send them a video of my rides home!!

Get $50 for participating in a research study.
================================================== ====================

As a valued Progressive Direct customer, we're inviting you to
participate in an innovative research study. The purpose of this
study is to help us reduce the cost of car insurance. And you'll earn
$50 just for participating.

How it works:

- Let us know you'll participate by visiting us online:
http://re.progressivedirect.com/?8293934803+4.0+T1

- We'll send you a TripSensor, a matchbook-sized device that
easily plugs in near your vehicle's steering column. Just plug it
in, drive as you normally do, and forget about it. In six months,
we'll ask you to unplug the TripSensor and send it back to us, and
we'll send you $50. It's that easy.

- The data you provide are for research purposes only, and will not,
under any circumstances, have an effect on your current or future
car insurance rate.

No. The data will only be used for research and analysis. Your driving data will not affect your rates.

That would be cool if you could just stay at the drag strip for like 6 months and just do 1/4 mile blast over and over. Then just send a little note in with the trip sensor that says "I have a lot of stop lights in my town"

No way I'd EVER help an insurance company out besides the over priced payments I'm forced to shell out every year.

i read about that awhile back and they all say....by all means this will not have anything to do with raising your insurance premium by $3,000 every 6 months after we have all your driving habits on record!!!!!!
