Question Car seats and Extended Cab Trucks

How many of you have ec trucks with car seat(s)? Do you have pics or input? We are getting the fancy one that has bases that the car seat snaps into and just wondering your inputs on it.

I know CC will have more room, obviously, but I dont think I wanna trade in my truck yet. Maybe when the kid is bigger/older.

I ditched my perfectly good ec for a cc. ECs with a wife, kid and dogs with all the crap that goes along with them doesnt mix. The car seat has to go in the middle seat otherwise your wife will be eating the dashboard. Also leaves hardly any room for stuff to go in the seat. I went ahead and got rid of my ec before it depreciated any more since I knew I needed a cc. Pkus if you get a loaded cc the rear dvd is nice for the kids.

Haven't had to try a rear facing but I can fit a regular car seat and two boosters in the back. Not much help though, I know.

Yup I found that a a search too. Seems everyone likes the ec w one seat and they fit fine.

I'm going to test my new seat and stand tonight. Specs say 34.5 in available space and the car seat says its 30 inches.

No doubt it fits fine and works well as long as you're not trying to carry anything else. Having to reach all the way into the middle of the teuck with a carrier and baby sucks though and having to twist it to fit past the seat then line up with the base was a pain but it worked.

I feel bad for your EC guys trying to run around with kids...

I've got a CC and rarely have anyone buy my GF inside the truck with me. It used to be a work truck that could tow and carry the literal crew to the worksite, so it needed to have lots of room, but now it's my DD and basically carries around tools and car/truck parts all the time. For the last week I had a bunch of (Arctic Cat snowmobile) Kitty Kat parts in big plastic containers in the back seat.

My ext cab was fine with my first one, but now with the second one its becoming a hassle. Its not just the car seat as stated, its all the extra crap that has to go with you as well.

Well I opened the box and strapped in the base. Grabbed the seat and tossed it in. I was very surprised how easy and how much room was in there.

The seat is in the middle of the back seat, just like everyone says it should be for safety.

I didn't have to move my driver seat at all to install the base, load or unload the car seat from the base. One step closer to being a dad!
