why a BONE STOCK 5.3 Yukon XL feels a **** ton faster than my truck?
I do state inspections at work occasionally, and drove one today for a brake test and this things got way more pickup than me...

what year is your truck vs the year of the yukon? the new 5.3's have 315hp and it could have different gears

 

Yukon was a 2004
Mine's a 2006

Also just got back from running against my friends 08 xcab 5.3
from a dig he got me, but I spun all the way through 1st, so that might be it.
from a ten and thirty roll all he saw was white tailgate.
