dam dave if you would wait a month i would do it for nothing , well maybe the pass alone but thats it . im trying to find a dmax and have access to a flat bed i used to tow my rig up to ricks.
i know of a pretty good tow company here in the inland empire that may be willing to help , he towed my truck a few times when transmissions died on me and i was happy with their service and how careful they were with my truck . if you want the number or place call me.

Thanks chase... yea the drive out there is not something I am NOT willing to do... my truck is not finished being tuned so even if it wasnt through a desert I wouldnt drive it, but Bill is right the road is horrible with trucks and yes there is a big desert to drive through, so if i can't find a tow, i wont go, period. Ive spent too much time, effort, and money to have it fucked up driving out to vegas - anything could happen - no matter how safe I drive it, it is other drivers and the environment that I cant control.
And the bottom line is this - I have a couple of opportunities to build a some feature vehicles for 2 large corporations... both of which will be at SEMA and want to see the truck in person, so it is not about just showing my truck at SEMA, I am going there to network and to make connections for future builds.
I can pay for gas, and pay for your time, plus a pass to the show... anyone?

Anyway, what bout Reliable? I thought they had a place in Vegas. But that means they'd be drivin 4 hrs. empty twice. And, of course, that'll be tallied in. I'd trust them. Not sure how much, but from them or anyone, it won't be cheap. Plus, enclosed is the only way to do it, since its a trailer/ garage queen.
No offense. No matter who u use, it's a rare...hold on, RARE!!! opportunity to be able to build 2 more, for others.
In that instance, find a way.
As for networking, u said the SEMA mgr called you. Call him & tell him your dilemma.

Also, funny you should mention the mgr thing, 3because it was one of my first questions, he also recommended reliable, but by the time I spoke to Chuck (sema mgr) it was after 5pm yesterday, and I thought they would be closed, I will try them today.
thanks for all of the help guys, hopefully something will come through... and sure an enclosed trailer would be best, but as long as I dont have to actually drive it, a flatbed would be fine. I just dont have enough miles on it to trust the drive... especially out in the middle of the desert... and it is land locked in my shop because last week they ripped up my entire parking lot and are repaving, which will not be finished until next week sometime, so i cant put any more miles on it until after the show... talk about a pain in the assssssss.

I used to drive a car hauler and I think if it has to go on an open trailer, a cover would be detrimental. It'll flap and slap at the paint enough to leave marks or even wear through it. An enclosed trailer can't be that hard to find is it? If you put it on an open trailer, be sure to have one of those brush style spray gaurds underneath the bumper of the tow vehicle to keep it from kicking up rocks. Also, towing with a van or a truck with a topper will help block that show truck from debris.
