Well, do you use a networking software, i've had that be the problem before. Could be something in the line, or something with your router or modem. Hmmmm

have you powered off your router and modem for a couple minutes? then go into your router and make sure gateway and all settings are set correctly,

Also an important one is to make sure none o your computers are named the same or it can screw with your router

depends on how long you've had it. i'm CCNA certified so i hope i know what i'm talking about. typically you get about a good two years out of a decent quality router. I was having the same intermittent connection issues and replaced the router and that fixed the issue. have you tried hooking the computer up directly to the modem?
