callin fellow nerds...network problems

i'm kinda stumped here. when computer is first started up, to be able to use the internet you have to repair the connection...then it will work for a little bit then you'll have to do it again...any ideas?

Sounds like your kanooter valve and muffler bearings are loose, Try tightening them up. Hahah jfwy I am not much of a computer wiz when it comes to internet connections and **** like that...

If it has windows vista, you will need to get into the device manager and delete the network cards, then reboot. I don't know why, but it is pretty common for that to happen in vista.

if you recently did a driver update, then roll it back
sounds like when you're using "sleep" or stand by mode this seems to be happening?
- if so, then it's under power options, and network, and then there's a tab about keeping connection alive or something while in standby mode . . . just set it to always on.
If you're shutting down completely . . . and then on startup it's doing this? . . . then it's a driver error . . . then just delete the card, reboot and let windows find the card again on startup
