Tough call guy, the last truck I bought was off of E-bay 14 months ago. '06 gmc performance edition ecsb w/lq9, 14 bolt w/ 3.73, bone stock w/ 8,800 miles. I jumped on a plane to San Diego, and checked it out myself! I bought it on the spot! But the sayng goes...If it seems too good to be true... It usually is! I was lucky. Since then...Cam, Dynatech Lt's, magnaflow true duels, 4l80E, Yank SC2800, tvs1900 @ 6#, Labonte meth kit, Nelson tune, and a 5400# money pit!

i'd say find somebody in the area & have them check it out. i actually just bought a vette over the telephone today. it's exactly what i've been looking for for a long time & i found it on corvetteforum last week. called & talked to the guy a couple times & had my mom drive an hour out from her house & check it out/test drive it for me. (she's had enough sports cars in her life, i trust her) & we talked the whole time. it passed all our checks, so i called the bank. that said, if you can find somebody you trust that's close and you trust the seller after personal communication, i'd say go for it.

Sorry man but this smells of a scam to me. I've had that same story run up on me by someone and I can only assume that this is a scam just like I almost fell into. Are sure indication is if the emails are in poor english. In any case, get a phone number and talk to the lady, a car fax report isn't gonna do **** for you and I don't understand why people even suggested it. Vin numbers can be taken VERY easily off any number of vehicle sale postings on Craig's list, autotrader, ebay, etc... If this is in fact a scam that Vin number probably came off a for sale add of someone with the exact same model year truck that is posted somewhere else. Only safe measure would be to call her/seller directly and talk to her.
Secondly if the truck is that cheap, someone local would have picked that up from her already and she wouldn't be bothered by the shipping hassle.

Dont do it bits a scam. They aré all over autotrader too! I was looking at a 03 f150 Harley davidson for cheap and it was the same story. I wanted to fly and meet the person but "she" wasn't in town and the truck was in another state. eBay would hold the money and she would ship it Nd if I dindt like it I could ship it back. Bullshit

after all the warnings, you deserved it. sorry for your stupidity. honestly after reading this I feel there is no smart person alive that would just risk $3k like that and "hope for the best". Sounds scripted homie.
