I've looked into building something like this after watching a bunch of videos on them. Problem is there isn't much practical use for them .

yea exactly... just something fun to make noise with


although, if you designed the mount and everything else right, I bet you could easily get something like that to fit on a kart of some kind.




or one HELL of a bar stool racer!!!

Look around on youtube and you'll see a handful of people doing this with old turbos and putting them on golf carts and what not.

Some of the garage DYI guys make those turbines GLOW!!!

Yea ive seen some where the turbine wheel itself gets white hot.

That is a lot of effort for so little reward! I think they should have just fed the turbo hotdogs.... now that would have been way better!
