This is the girlfriends car.

Nice little car. Cheap. (Relatively) good gas millage. Cheap. Easy to maintain. Cheap. No smog. And you never have to change the oil, just keep adding.

Everyday my beater is a 1991 S10 RCSB 4cyl/5-speed with only 120k miles. I inherited the truck about a year ago and love it, only cost about $20 to fill it up and has saved a ton of miles off of my Silverado.

I picked up an 88 Civic Hatch for $175 on Saturday, Driving it home the hood came up at 65mph on the freeway folded it to the widshield and busted it, and the rearview wirror went flying too! I just started laughing instantly! Im not using is as a driver tho, its a racer. I race in the Hornet class at our local speedway. Its a lot of fun, I'll get some pics and post em up.

'94 Plymouth Acclaim 3.0V6

Bought it with 50K on it for $2100 and it is still going strong with 110K. Did front breaks, tune up and oill changes.

A beater car is a MUST when you have a nice truck that you want to keep nice. Best $$$ I spent in a long time!

1992 Saturn SL2 (twin cam bitches! )

Bought it a couple of years ago with 144k on the clock for $1000. It now has 219k on the clock, but the odo only works when it wants to. I'm guessing it's got around 240-250k on it based on the odo working on and off for about a year since I've had it, and the year that it was completely dead when the previous owner had it.

I've had to fix the a/c, put two sets of tires on it, it needs it's second set of brakes, had the cat removed, a set of junkyard coil packs/ign module, mostly minor stuff. It's got a BAD oil leak right now (went through a CASE of oil over the last 4k miles) but it still pulls down 28-30mpg. I only wish it were a little bigger...it's really too small for my big behind!

Here's a pic from about a year ago:
