i ordered (or tried to order) a vararam tri power intake from this site,
http://marylandspeed.com/index.php
and they didnt even have one in stock and it had no notifier of that on their website and so i had to wait 2 weeks for vararam to open back up so they could get one and then i had to wait another week when they were telling me that it was going to ship out soon and then yesterday they call me and say that vararam no longer makes that intake for my model of truck....completely wasted time....i wouldn't reccomend this site.

A couple of things here.
First off, we try and provide everyone with the best service possible...doing otherwise would only be shooting ourselves in the foot. Real time inventory information is not possible on our website because on top of our inventory, we use a wide range of warehouse suppliers, and all those inventory systems cannot be interfaced. I don't think many of the sponsors on the right side there how sell as many products as we do have real time inventory on their sites. In general, Vararam ships within 48 hours of being ordered, either from us, or Vararam. Most of our order in general ship in 1-2 business days.
The week after Christmas between new years, most of the aftermarket industry closes. This includes most manufacturers, and many of our competitors. With Vararam, they are constantly tweaking their kits, so we dropship many of the slower selling intakes to make sure you get the latest hardware. The majority of our competitors do the same. I personally have never understood this because the week after Christmas in normally busy, but I only have control over my business.
In this specific instance, you ordered Christmas Day, and we notified you immediately via email of the wait till the first week of January. Then Vararam reopened, and told us they no longer make kits for the 2006. This is a recent change they have made, and your order was the first time they told us. We are not trying to jack you around, cause issues, or waste your time. Jen did call you and offer a discount on another intake that could ship immediately. Instead you asked for a refund, which was processed expediently. We did respond to all your emails quickly, and provide the best customer service we could given the situation. While I personally hate to pass the buck, had Vararam not been closed the week like they were, or told us before hand they canceled the 2006 kits, I am confident you would have had a much more positive experience.
