Back from my Canada Vacation
#19
I live an hour's drive from Banff and have avoided it for years because it's been ruined by tourism. There is some incredible hiking (and hunting) outside that crazy Banff corridor. The eastern slopes of the Rockies is my playground and it's mostly all public land with free access and camping, riding and fishing and hunting and hiking. There are thousands of square miles of wilderness and if you avoid the tourist areas it is a paradise... Just don't get lost.

Pictures like that is why I want to go to Alaska so friggin bad. Beautiful country up there, if I could deal with the cold thats where Id live but something about being able to wear shorts and a tshirt during January down here I cant get past. I think itd be cool to take a road trip all the way up to Alaska but not being able to have a handgun in Canada kinda kills that idea. Too far to travel unarmed with the crazies.
So youre going to Alaska in 2 years so whats next year?
