My parents and wife are from Mexico, I am first Generation AMERICAN, My 2 yeard old is AMERICAN, I melted in. We all speak English and Spanish, even my 2 year old is bilingual. The Hyphen is just used to devide people up. We don't forget about where we came from. I don't ever hear anyone say I am Puertorican-American or I am French-American, Colombian-American, Venezuelan-American.
