Default Anyone own a Tundra?

Looking to get rid of the charger in the next 6-8mo and I’m eyeing a Tundra Crewmax to replace it.

i've been a die-hard GM nut my whole life & even understand that their trucks have been regarded as being on the decline in recent years after riding a high (kinda like Toyota in the early-2010s). i actually ended up getting a 4th gen Dodge last year (last real truck with a manual trans) & have been really surprised with how much Fiat did for making those trucks better.

I’ve owned a half ton and HD version of the big three and currently have a 2020 Silverado. I’m just looking for something different. Besides, the tundra is built and assembled about 4hrs south of me. Can’t say that about the big three.

I didn't buy a truck for fuel mileage but those current Tundra's get the worst mileage of the bunch. With the available 4.30 gears they just suck fuel.

It's like a 5-7 mpg difference depending on the trim and engine you get when compared to a Ford, GM or Dodge.

Ya it’s like 11-13. But it’s not a daily so I’m not worried.

my cammed LM7 4x4 on 33s could still get 17-18 on the highway with my 4.30s... granted it dropped to ~13 if i was doing 80mph

Do you know that the 2022 model Tundra will be a redesign and they are addressing the mileage issues. I do know that this is the last year for the V8 in a Tundra so if that's what you're looking for you need to act now. How many chevy trucks are made in Mexico and Canada? Every Tundra in the world was assembled in USA. I'm also not sure how the Tundra has declined in recent years when it is still on the same exact platform that was released back in 2008...The big 3 have absolutely progressed in that time while the Tundra sat stagnant.
