i sunk my Iphone on my atv over the weekend. i put the phone into a bag of rice for 2 days on the dash of my car. it got some of the water out but not enough for it to work. i said f it and put the phone into a jar, and hooked an adaptor up to it through the lid. 50 minutes under vacuum and it's starting to work
it turns on, i can hear it pushing buttons but the screen still wont come on. i just popped it back into the vacuum for another 30 minutes to see if it does anything. did i just come up with a million dollar idea or what

I work in hvac industry, we have some high-dollar beast vacume pumps, you need to make sure it is sealed really good, and something that wont crush, as the vaccume is being pulled down. You get really fancy you could put a micron gauge on the pump, get it to 500 or less microns there will be no water present.

i put it inside of a facny pickel jar! lol. it worked...kinda. the phone turns on now, but the screen doesnt show me anything. i still hear it hitting buttons and clicks, but the screen isnt lighting up. i can make calls using the home button and talking to the phone. the screen was already cracked and needed to be replaced anyways so no biggy! i'll have the screen replaced and be good to go!
