I had a very easy work day today. This time of year and this economy sucks for for Home improvement contractors.

my dad works for a bank and does foreclsure remodling... thats pretty damn busy right now!

Even the casinos stopped their work right now... normally they're the two guaranteed things in this area. Mohegan Sun stopped their 800 million dollar hotel until they can get 6 months of positive revenue. It's pretty scary actually. I worked on the road expansions for the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos.

When the casinos shut down work that they've already started and the state isn't putting any decent projects to bid you know somethings wrong. I've thought about moving west where you can work year round, but it doesn't look like it matters too much these days lol

COMMERCIAL construction around here is OK. Residential not so ok.
