Any vette owners in here?

2KRED, I have owned & work on many Corvettes. I do have a 08 droptop. By far the best Vette I have ever owned. It does everything well, very quick, stops well, handles like it is
on rails, and the fuel mileage is unreal.
It is best to find the newest one you can afford. The early C6's had LS2's but in 08
then came with a LS3,more power!
I will try can answer any question you have.
Good Luck

Jimmy, what package is your 08? 2lt, 3lt and happen to be a Z51? Also, post some pics man!
The one I'm looking at is an '09 cyber grey Z51 with a 2lt. Heard the ride is stiffer than a non Z51 but I've never rode on one.

i don't consider a stock Z51 harsh at all... but i've also got a ZR1/Z51 sway setup on mine & still think it's alright on the street. next step is C6Z shocks.
it all really depends on what you're looking to do with the car. if it's just to cruise around & occasionally have a little fun in, they're pretty decent from the factory & (as with any LS platform) respond quite well to basic bolt-ons and a tune.
i've only driven a C6 one time because when i was ready to buy a C4, i did a quick drive in a C5 & ended up waiting a few more years to afford one instead. same goes for C7s... but i ain't as tempted now that i've had mine for 6yrs & am *****-deep in mods!

Zebra, what's the benefit of running a ZR1 sway bar setup?
And it will stay stock for a long time lol has an extended warranty for another 2 years so I'll keep it as is to not void it.
Another note, have any of you installed a widebody kit? Off a ZO6 or ZR1. The widebody stance on these C6's is insanely good looking

my sways (C6 ZR1 front and C6 Z51 rear) are similar to T-1, LG, or Hotchkis setups with regards to the front:rear stiffness ratio, but the overall stiffness ain't as aggressive. it really flattens it out around turns on the track & creates a pretty neutral steering feel (versus a little understeer with the C5 Z51 bars)... but it's more than a normal street setup would need.
C6 Z51 is a good overall setup. you should also consider you get a little larger brake rotors (more surface area to dissipate heat) and a little torquier transmission gearing (in the manual).

The automatic transmission worries me at times but it's been taking the abuse.
