Default Any Canadians here?

I have a 2000 Silverado with a CAI and Efilive tune. In spring time I will be moving to Winkler Manitoba. Does anybody know what kind of emissions laws and testing they have? I'm planning on some future mods but I need to know
how much I can get away with.

I am from Winnipeg, we dont have to pass emissions out here but Vehicle Inspection in the city is something else. I have had my truck pulled off the road twice for being to big when I was on 40"s.

I'm from Winnipeg as well. Emissions are nothing to worry about with the exception of cats, you have to have them but as far as modifications go things like huge lifts and being slammed might cause you grief from the law.

Ontario's e-test is a cinch, Manitoba's should be too. I know of lots of heads/cam and FI cars that pass it. Just gotta have a good tune and decent (Magnaflow) cats.

So a set of ARH headers and a mild cam would still pass? I'm coming from Texas so they will probably give me an import inspection. I have Efilive and am tuning it myself so no worries there.

I have a lysholm 2.3 twin screw and ARH headers, trust me, there are zero emission laws in Manitoba. You will be fine bringing your personal effects.

Manitoba Public Insurance > Registration
There ya go.

You'll be completely fine if you can pass the safety inspection. Good tires, brakes, and no rust holes are pretty important. If your truck has never had the lower ball joints replaced I imagine those will need to get done. That'll give you an excuse to get drop LCAs. You'll probably need catalytic convertors to pass inspection. After that, let 'er rip! If you wanna stack two 14-71 blowers on top of your short block, have zoomies exiting under the fenders, and stab in a donkey cam that makes your truck barf out black smoke, nobody's gonna stop you! You're also gonna be close to Gimli, which has a FAST, sticky drag strip. Lots of fun stuff for you! It's how we try to attract Americans and let them forget about the hot humid summers, the cold humid winters, the people who drive ten clicks under the limit, the crazy expensive houses, and the mosquitoes with friggin landing lights. Welcome to Canada. Are you an oilman?

Right now i'm on a 2/4 drop and 285/50/20s so that wont be a problem. I
wont go any lower because it will be towing a trailer with my '81 and a lot of
other crap on it. I'm not in oil but will consider it if the pay is right. No sweat about the weather. I know a guy here that says he wears just as much clothing for the cold here as he did there. Next mods are probably ARH headers, clean up my heads, and a cam.
