will that fit a 2000 5.3?

Well, I went to the parts shop this morning, battery tested fine, just needed a charge, alternator needed replacing.

on to the funny part. Driving home, the battery gauge goes from 11-12 volts with the battery dummy signal on, to 14-14.5 and no battery signal. Odd I thought to myself, I drove it for about 30 minutes, then decided to test it. Turned on the brights, stereo and rolled down both windows at the same time...battery gauge barely moved. Drove to another parts store, they tested it, and verbatim, the guy says "man, that alternator purring like a kitten, like it just came off the assembly line" lmao.

I did however find a lot of useful information I'll post up when I get to my other computer
!
