So prolonging the inevitable, I decided to wait to get a new laptop, yes I already own a $2k macbook pro, but evidently HPTUNERS is only windows based, so yea, i gotta get a new laptop, F%CK... and I dont want to run some windows emulator on my mac...

yesterday i come across a deal at BEST BUY on a new 15.4" HP laptop for $479 - 4g of ram, 250gb hdd, case, anti-virus, and a corded extra mouse... HELL YEA i thought... store opens at 5 am, i will get up at 4am and get there an extra 30 minutes early... and "beat" the rush...


I get up, get dressed and get to the parking lot at the local Best Buy...











there are at least 750 people in line!!!! WTF

I pull up to the front and ask one of the sales clerks behind the YELLOW CAUTION TAPE... yo, all the laptop vouchers gone, he laughed, obviously he didnt realize my mood and that i could easily crush him... anyways, he said they were all given out at 3am...

 

people were outside bestbuy here on THURSDAY at NOON

 

Why don't you just partition out 30 gigs on your hard drive, install XP and call it a day? You run jaguar?

Windows almost runs better on macs.

Or you know...torrent fusion.

 

I went and got a laptop from Fry's last year for $299. I got there at 10 PM on thursday, and was already behind about 50-100 people, stayed there all night in sub 32 degree weather with light rain. It sucked ***, but I got my laptop, and I'm using it right now.. You can't mess around with black friday sales, people go crazy for them, and alot of times they arent even that great of deals.

 

and alot of the deals are online now too.

 

online shopping for me, even if I dont get the best deals, **** lines and stupid people.

 

can anyone help me find a laptop online for less than $500 bucks... 15.4" screen, 3gigs of ram and at least 160gb hard drive? I have been searching...
