Default 6.0 shows up the ricers on dyno day

My friend who has a really cool 320awhp (before he did a bunch of stuff like cams and other things) told me about this dyno day.

I roll down there with my truck and sign up for $55 or something like that. Pure ricer shop. One guy that word there shook his body and said "ughhh" when a mustang drove by.
"what?"
"a mustang drove by"
"so?
"I hate american cars"
"sorry to hear that"

Their shop racecar is running a best of 11.00. Fastest car they have

Anyway, I sign up and I go after the Evo and STi.

The evo rolls up, makes an impressive 220awhp because his "performance chip" makes less power than stock

The STi pulls up. Putss down something like 240awhp. Not happy, he adds a $1200 exhuast (with installation) and puts down another 9.8hp

My turn. Hand the guy my keys.

"which one is it"
"the silverado"
::looks around dumb founded:::
"the one ahead of you"
:::still lost:::
"the damn truck!" (its a lot full of ricers, a silverado on 33'' mud terrains kind of stands out)

"the pickup "

"yes!"

"you sure?"

The way he said it along with his body language made it clear that he was asking "why the **** are you even bothering dynoing this ******* thing"

I turn to my friend:
"Dont give me that look, my truck is about to put down 60 more horsepower than anything today, even after you dropped $1200 into a ******* car"

They pull it up, give me some **** about the price they quoted me on an hour ago.

"Hey man, we can get away with charging nissan $1000 a day for this, we dont need your $55"
"Thats not making feel any better because i WORK for nissan and I'm going to have a talk with powertrain on monday"
They laugh and look at each other nerviously.

They bring up my truck, charging me an extra $10-15 because they had to do some crap in bolting two adaptors together my 6 lugs. whatever, i've been waiting 2 hours already and I want to put down 320rwhp right in front of the guy giving me **** for dynoing it and the guy that was insulted by the presence of a mustang like he was Lingenfelter

They take the wheels off, sit around like monkies and I realize something is wrong. I walk up.

"hey uhhh we cant get this to work"
"why"
"your lug nuts are way too big. we cant get a socket around them in the adaptor"

:roftl: They couldn't handle my (stock) lugnuts because they only did import stuff. Apparently, 6 lug imports run some damn small wheel studs and lugnuts.

cliff notes
silverado lugnuts > ricer shop.

My lugnuts were too bad *** for them. No dyno

Hopefully someone will have a dyno day that can handle the badassness of a GM lugnut.

dyno packs are really as accurate as you calibrate them.

If a mustang dyno and dynojet read a 10-15% difference- at least one of the two isnt very accurate
