Straight nights here 5p-4a...definitely room darkening shades (they make the paper ones u can tape in front whatever shades u already have) is a plus and go to sleep when u get home. I love the time i have when i wake up to run erands or work on stuff before i go to work. Like someone else said having the sat n sun nights and all day monday off is like having extended weekends...except for the fact i had been workin 6 night s week since May ... made *** load of money though lol.. good luck with the late shift..

I work swing shift. Sometimes I like it and other times I hate it. Right now I hate it because I have to go in tonight after my 7 day break. Plus, working 2 weekends a month sucks too.

Use to work night shift up here where I work (6pm to 6am). It was nice for a while, was peaceful and quiet, no bosses, no one always bugging you.
For the past 4-5 years I have been working 4:30am to 6:30pm and getting up that early is brutal. Usually will take some form of sleep aid so I can try and get a decent amount of hrs of sleep but still end up staying up to late most nights.
I also have a funky schedule though that I work 2 weeks straight and live at where I work and then have 2 weeks off. Not sure I could go back to any sort of job where I don't have the time off like I do now.

Well its going good so far, sleep hasnt been a problem for me. And most of my co-workers are cut-ups like me so its cool.
We do have this cute chick thats the only straight girl on our shift, she's a real flirt too. Wears tight low-riser jeans, shows her booty all night pretending to pick something up LMAO.
