2013 Silverado/Sierra New Engine Line!!!

Oh, you were saying that the Silverado will get the Caddy engine; I thought you meant that Caddy will get one of the engines we were talking about. Which I would be inclined to agree with as well.

it would be nice to see that caddy motor optional in the trucks, but id say it would be a pretty penny as an option. still...you cant beat the sound of a v8, even if it has twin turbo's on it

I know for sure DI is on the way, as they've already released it in several GM models, but I don't see any more 7.0s following after the end of the C6 Z06. I would love to see a 7.0 DI LS, but I don't see that ever happening. They were talking about a 5.5 DI V-8 for the Vette, but I think the upmarket engine from the 5.5 DI would likely be an FI version of the same engine, as the trend from Chevy has been since the introduction of the TVS superchargers on the ZR1, CTS-V, and very soon, on the ZL1. If anything, judging by GM's current model of placing a truck version of the Corvette's base engine as the top engine choice in the half-ton trucks, a truck 5.5-liter DI would be placed as the top (gas) engine choice for the latest GM half-ton.

AMG only has a 6.2 in only 2 vehicles, the rest carry a 5.5 TT. Mileage went from 13/20 to 15/22, no more gas guzzler, more efficient, & faster.

So are GM & AMG sharing a 5.5?

I'm kiddin.

But twins on a v6 ala Eco Boost seems viable.
Caddy V6 is now 320HP for '12? Not bad, a v6 puttin out the power of our 5.3. Lighter weighter than v8 for handling, so-o-o...can it handle a turbo or 2?

Obviously the supercharger model was changed from the 1900 to the 2300 since the article was written but here you go:

I also have a quote somewhere in print on it but I'm sick as a dog right now so I'm not digging through my magazines.
