Ok so, for what it's worth...
2-3 months ago I sold a trailer to an older gentleman who was driving a nicely modded Dodge Ram Cummins. We were chatting about it since I was impressed and he told me he bought it from Andy House about a year ago (dude who owns the Bugatti and was accused of driving it into the Lake) and they spoke about the accident and Mr house admitted to the older gentleman that he was actually texting when that happened and didn't want to admit to doing that as that would invalidate his claim.
Which to me is much more believable. But regardless...whose to say what really happened.

personally i think he drove it into the water on purpose. first off because if you know that stretch of road on i45 between houston and galveston. the part he was on is water on the edge of the feeder road. so rarely does anyone ever drive on the feeder since its water and you have no need to be on there to exit for anything. to me his story just doesnt add up at all.

Jake , he coulda left engine running while in lagoon, who's gonna steal it in 2 1/2' of water? Mosquitos, droppin a phone or while textin, doesn't matter - doesn't deserve to be driving it anyway.
If u dropped phone or risked what this car costs, is it really that hard of a choice?!?

$1M+ car or a stupid phone?!?
Ever heard of hands free? I wish I had my smilies saved, I could use some of my own stuff to reply to this dickbag. Only excuse he might could use, I said said might, not that it's valid is he is another drunk...

Other than that, he needs a swift kick.

Who'd want a salvaged title Veyron anyway, I mean u already know this car has water damage. Maybe a cheaper ride, but at this price level, no way!!!
Sc00by, I too remember that vid. I agree w/. what u said, "insurance fraud seems to be a pretty good answer to this. That guy is screwed!", unless he has a great lawyer.
