my stock tune and stock stall are my major killers.... once those are taken care of, if traction is an issue even with the locker i always have the 4wd switch

Yeah, i have a superchips tune on here now, i wish i had a locker so i could get my 60 down to a 2.1 or so, that would put me at about a 15.7 or 15.8 and maybe a few mph because of the tune.

Either your truck is modified or his truck is slow.

My 03 RCSB (3:73 gears) dynoed at 255rwhp 275rwtq and ran a 15.0@89

With Exhaust,Home made intake,Electric fans and a Diablosport Tune it made 285rwhp 315rwtq and ran 14.4@93 (I also was running a full aftermarket stereo and 20" wheels-easily 150lbs heavier than the stock run)

With the addition of a full tune,Headers and a yank 3000 stall that truck would have gone into the 13's on 20's easy.(I had all of this laying around the garage when I traded the truck for the vette)

I have not dragged the 05 crew but bone stock it dynoed 20rwhp/TQ than the 03 RCSB.I think this truck as it sits will easily run a mid 15 in the 1/4.

I wasn't trying to be an *** but comparing the old 5.7L to the new 5.3 is like comparing the 04 Z06 to the 06 Z06.(Technology/power is just much better now)

when you respond like that i dont take it as you trying to be an ***, the first words you said were 'either your truck is modified' which is correct, atleast you didnt just jump to the conclusion that i think im faster just b/c of a bigger displacement. i totally agrre with you that the technology is better, i was just saying that my truck as is (modified just a touch) will take the nbs 5.3's w/a couple bolt ons, no offense taken and none meant.
