Simply put, this truck is my obsession. Everyone who spends any amount of time with me knows it. Its gotten so bad that the girlfriend sometimes gets jealous of the truck, but she will be the first to point out the fact that someone is staring down my truck as we drive down the road.
It all started in November of 2004. I was actually shopping for a ford when I came across this 2001 5.3 Silverado. 23,000 miles Loaded to the max including leather! The previous owner had already put on a cowl hood and escalade gauges. It was Factory equipped with 3.73 gears and a G80. $20,000 marked on the window…OUCH! There was no way a college kid on their own could afford this right? After a bit of haggling and a few connections inside the dealership I grabbed her up for $16,500 plus TTL. I couldn’t believe it! This is where the obsession began. All I knew was I wanted a good-looking truck, and it needed to have the performance to back up its bad *** looks.

Escalade gauges
Leather seats
Tahoe grille with billet inserts and emblem
Euro corners
Billet antenna
Painted upper bumper pad
Smoothed and color matched Z71 Tahoe air damn, with OEM fog lights
Smoothed and painted mirrors
Painted handles
Rollpan/ lighted billet bracket/hidden hitch
Limmo tinted windows
18” eagle 219 wheels wrapped in 285/50 18 nitto 404’s
and a couple performancetrucks.net stickers

Shaners ported and polished throttle body(coolant bypassed)
Pacesetter long tube headers and ORY
Corsa sport muffler with a dynamax bullet as a resinator

ASP underdrive pulley

The results?
It's an eye-catching truck that has the performance to back up its look. Current track times are 13.80 @ 96.98 mph. This truck is the only stock cam/head ECSB Silverado to hit 13’s on the strip without any kind of power adder that I, or anybody that I know has heard of. There have been a few new mods since then so I’m shooting for 13.5 still on the stock cam and heads. Next on the list is a cammed LS1 more info and pictures about my truck can bee found at my car domain
