First of all I just want to thank everyone on PT.net. Without this great group of people I would have spent way more time, money, and heartache than needed getting my truck to where it is today. It is also an honor to be nominated for truck of the month amongst all of the trucks on this site; there are a lot of nice vehicles with a lot of time and money invested in them.

Now on to the truck… I bought the truck brand new on July 15, 2006. It was my first new vehicle and the newest thing I had owned prior to it was a 10 year old hand-me-down Blazer from my dad. I bought it because I had a 60 mile a day commute with a 230k mile vehicle and so I could focus more time and attention to putting my former bracket racing Camaro back together for the street. That didn’t last long, the modification bug bit me hard, these trucks are so easy to work on and respond so well to little changes it’s hard to leave them alone. This is what the truck looked like the day I brought it home from the dealership as a base model W/T package truck with a 4.8/automatic.

Stock W/T interior...

The first thing I did was clean up the appearance a little bit. I added color matched handles, tinted the windows, installed an SS cluster, and put on some 2004 Silverado taillights. This got me by for a few months when I was still trying to fight the urge to mod the truck.

I found a set of Joe Gibbs wheels and 285/50R20 tires here in the classifieds and couldn’t do without finishing up the color matching and putting Line X in the bed. The truck was still pretty much stock, but looked so much better. I drove it like this for over a year. Somewhere along the way I installed a Corsa muffler with turndowns after the axle and a Volant cold air intake. I also got the truck tuned, it’s amazing the difference that made.

After selling the Camaro project that never got driven I decided to bite the bullet and scrounge some parts for making the truck fast and do another round of appearance mods. So far I have installed 1.5” drop coils, 3” drop leaves, 20” RST edition Foose speedsters with 275/45R20 Grabber UHPs, and a Vigilante triple disc 9.5” 2400 stall with Transgo kit and servos. In the basement awaiting my schedule to allow it is a set of Yukon 3.73s with a

Trutrac, Long tube headers, and a TR224 cam kit. To back up the bite with some bark I also had a Goodmark steel cowl hood painted and installed. Here are the most recent pictures I have of the truck, it’s come a long way in two years time and I still love it.

This is the interior the way it looks now. Regency seats and full console, Denali dash bezel, Silverado SS gauges, GM carpet kit, and JGP floor mats.

Here it is next to big brother, I got a new daily driver to focus on hot rodding the Sierra.

This is what it looks like when I'm at work.

P.S. I know my photography skills suck, if needed I can get my sister to take better pictures next weekend, she pretends she knows what she's doing pretty well.

Wow, thanks guys. I appreciate the compliments! Never would have figured a couple of years ago when I found this site my truck would be in this position.

Congrats on the win. Nice, clean truck... and the SS doesn't look like it's that bad either. Keep up the good work.
