First of all I want to thank all who nominated me for truck of the month..
Well, first of all I started with a v-6 truck a couple years back. Which I swaped for a v-8 for more power. I went with a 6.0 H/C full bolt ons and some spray that got me into low 11 sec times. Then after came in a 370 with ls6 Heads and some more spray . I ran that combo for about a year and got me to some mid 10’s . After running good for a while came in better suspension, roll bar, bogart wheels to take care of the 60’s and some saftey. The urge for going faster came to me once again, so a call was place to my friend Erik from HKE for a more powerfull powerplant. Then came a 414 ci with a set of Trickflow heads and a custom bumpstick for some good ole nitrous on a direct port. This also was accomplished with a 4L80e with a break to handle the new power. As the times started to roll in lower and lower every time a better rear end was called in to handle the mid 30 60’ foots, a Moser Fab-9 with a custom carbon fiber drive shaft. This potent setup netted me a best of 9.53 @ 148mph at the local dragstip, but got me kicked out due to not enough cage or a parachute on the truck. Along I went to to the eight mile to do some more testing and finally broke the 5’s in the 1/8 with a .95 @ 120, which got me kicked out again from there. At this point I said to myself it is time to address the correct cage(25.5) and saftey equipment good enough to run 7.50’s . From there the motor, tranny came out of the truck so they can work on it properly. Being that the motor was already out, I figure why not go forced induction being that I have been a NOS guy for a long time, so I decided to make the switch. The motor got sent to Erik to change it up and make it somewhat bigger and boost friendly. Then parts came rolling in, such as a single billet precision turbo with a A/W that can support over 3000 hp, with all the necessary piping. The truck is in the process still but the new goal is to be the first in the 8’s with a 99+ vehicle..
