Default WTB a tbss...everyones likes/dislikes

im looking at buying one within the next month or so. ive been looking already, but the AWD seems to be hard to come by down here. post up what you got and what you like/dislike about it. what trim package do you guys have 1SS 2SS 3SS? what kind of gas mileage are you guys getting with a tune? this is gonna be the wifes ride, so it will stay mostly stock besides the basic tune and cai, maybe exhaust. thats about it.

2008 3SS AWD

Likes

- Great handling
- Precise steering
- Nice power
- Sunroof!!
- Decent room in back, especially with back seats folded down.
- Comfortable interior(might be a little tight for big people)
- Heated seats

Dislikes

- Gas mileage(14-16 highway, don't do enough city to say)
- 4L70E transmission
- Steering wheel controls are a little outdated.(My '07 pickup has nicer setup)
- No auto start option
- Cup holders in front of shifter(Don't put it in park with a metal coffee mug in those front spots!!) lol

Overall, I really love mine. It's the nicest all around vehicle I've ever owned.

07 1ss awd,i like pretty much everything about it.it tows very well, great power.
there are a few issue's that pretty much all of them have, door seal, rear end whine, ect ect. dont buy it if you expect to get good milage,if she's easy on it around town it may not be to bad.

I'm too big for the front seats, can't hardly get in the back, 6'2" 240 or so.....

Also the layout of the guages is funky to me, the steering wheel covers up my view of damn near every guage.

Other than that, they are fun as hell and if I was smaller I'd be all over one.

she has a dodge nitro now.... pretty nice but hell, for a 3.7l v6 it gets 15mpg at best. if the TBSS got that i would be tickled pink...

A RCSB is a full-size Chevy, the TBSS is not. There is a big difference. I'm 6'2" and 245 and I had to special order my TBSS w/o a sunroof so I could sit straight up in it....couldn't do that in one with a sunroof.

I got an average of 12.6-12.7 mpg over the 2.5 year life of my TBSS. Not cool for a daily driver, especially when gas is north of $4.00. I miss the off-the-line power sometimes, but overall I'm glad the TBSS is gone.

If you see NorCal from the side driving his TBSS you know why it works for him...it looks like he is sitting in the back seat.

I'm 6'4+ 280. I fit fine, but I had to find one without a sunroof. My TBSS isn't as comfortable as a Tahoe, but its not bad at all. Sure is much more enjoyable to drive.

I bought a 2008 1SS. I tried to find a 2008 3SS model w/o the sunroof, but the only one within 500 miles was Red Jewel and I didn't want that color.

Likes:
Nice power and performance
Tight responsive steering
Easy to park (vs my old tahoe)
Exterior styling is good (especially for an 8 year old production model)
14bolt rear end with airbag suspension

Dislikes:
1SS radio / speakers are pretty poor
cloth seats were too soft (I upgraded to leather)
interior is plain and little dated

This is my daily driver, but given the opportunity, my wife would drive this every day vs her 08 GMC Acadia. She likes how it drives and its responsive steering.
