Question

Is there a recommended replacement or cleaning interval ??? I know on my truck it had a filter on the frame and I replaced the fuel pump and it had a screen too but the frame filter still got pretty dirty after about 15,000 miles...

The Filter Is In The Fuel Pump Module...

It Is A Highly Efficient Filter, And That Is Why They Put It In The Module...

It Keeps From Some Of The Pump Failures That Were Experienced With The Previous Models At Which People Were Putting In Cheap Replacements That Were Inefficient, And Causeing Alot Of Stress On The Pump, Or Insufficient Filtering Ability

Thanks A$$hat for the info... I just replaced the filter on the Cobalt SS and was going to replace it on the TBSS because of how FILTHY the filter was on the CSS after 21,000 miles and thats why I was so concerned...but I guess I'll have to learn to live w/ it...

yeah i wasnt to happy about it either.... but ive seen a fuel module that came out after about 56,000 mi. to replace the tank because of a broken baffle... and for the hell of it we cracked it open and the filter looked pretty bitchen..... it had very little if anything on the filter media

Cool...that's good to know...So they put the filter in the module and does it still have a little strainer on the bottom like the old setup or did they do away w/ that all together and also do you know where I could find a pic or exploded diagram of the new module???
