Transproblem :-(
#1
Yesterday something happend with my transmission. :-(
Does anybody any info or thoughts??
It was icy condition and I started from an intersection in a turn. Suddenly I noticed that there was no forward Power and end the car slowed down to stop. It will not move in D and 3rd but it does in 1th and 2nd and R.
The car is an Trailblazer SS 2006 with 37.000 miles
I read on some forum that it maybe the front sprage that broke. I also read that the 4L60E trans (if thats the one in the car) dont like over 300 hp. Why have GM put that trans in a 400hp car?
I didnt launch it in any way when i happened. Is this common? If I had to remove and rebuild the trans maybe it wise to change to a stronger one...or???
I would appreciate input, ideas and tips here :-)

I am not the trans expert so maybe others will chime in, but...
Could be the Forward sprag, shift solenoids, 3/4 clutch pack etc.
Fluid level good?
Is the fluid burnt?
What color is the Fluid?

Same thing..except the 4l70 has 5 pinion planets and in most 4l70s they have 7 frictions in the 3/4 apposed to 6 in the 4l60..also most if not all 4l70s come with a double caged sprag but it has hard plastic not near as strong as a borgwarner
