Quick q for those of you w/ tbss's on stock tires and 4.10's: can you give me a speed vs rpm w/ the tc locked it 3rd or 4th gear? ie: 4th gear, locked, 80 mph, XXXX rpm?

 

I think mine's about 2700 RPM at that speed. Why you ask?

 

Im just juggling the concept of a 6l80e in a tbss and what gear ratio could be put in the rear end to keep close to stock first gear final ratio (if not deeper) and get more overdrive for highway.

 

so it 4th gear at 80 = 2700 rpm then....
40=5901 w/ 4l70e in 1st
40=7766 w/ 6l80e in 1st
40=6477 w/ 6l80e & 3.42's in 1st
80=2700 w/ 4l70e in 4th
80=2573 w/ 6l80e in 6th
80=2146 w/ 6l80 w/ 3.42's in 6th

what is the stock tire height and sidewall specs?

 

255/50/20 29.8" tall tire
