you could of went hte factory way. the SSR has same frame and their battery is in the back. ive seen this done on another TBSS. the owner had used a battery box and wiring kit from a SSR and used it on his TBSS. you dont see battery being under the body and inside the frame

THE SSr set up is over 400 bucks with employee cost, and i wanted to center battery over the back of the tire better.

on top of that you lose the spare and my truck is so slammed in the rear (4.5 lower than stock) would hit the exhaust pipe.

wiring from the stock ssr is only 2 gauge. much to small. If i could keep the spare id keep it under the truck

Very very nice dude. Your engine cover is pretty kickass as well. I've got a 99 Sierra, and I've been thinking about moving the spare tire as close to the inside of the left frame rail as possible and putting a metal battery box on the inside of the right rail, putting weight far to the back and keping it low without killing any box space. Kinda worried about corrosion though. What do ya think? Sorry, kinda hijacking, but your Trailblazer is deadly.

i have a sealed optima if you have the same you will be ok. id mount it as much as i could behidn the right rear tire. If you can mount it on the outside would be better but anything is better on the right rear.

Nice mod and clean work Tony. I've been thinking of something like this...
