Hey guys, im new over here, been on ls1tech forever. Just picked up a TBSS last night and wanted to introduce myself and maybe ask a few questions. Its an 06 silver 3ss, pretty well loaded, has k&n cold air and a magnaflow catback, 91k miles on it... pretty clean truck. Im still getting familiar with it all but had a few questions maybe you guys could help me out with.

The truck has factory nav which I would like to keep but the lack of AUX port is kinda aggravating since ive gotten use to having pandora on my phone in the vette and the old truck. Radio doeskin quite cut it. Is there any solutions out there for this?

I also have a really nice ati trans cooler I had bought for my Vette but ended up going a different route there. I know these things have pretty weak transmissions so would you guys recommend putting this thing on?

As far as towing is concerned whats safe on the stock trans? Is there a way to bring up trans temp in the display? The most id ever plan to tow with it is my vette on an open frame aluminum trailer.

Sorry to sound like such a noob just trying to figure it all out lol. Wanted one for a pretty long time so now I just want to make sure I do the right things to keep it going for a long time to come.

Thanks guys!

Congrats! I know tbssowners has a write up on how to install the aux for cheap!
Yes put the cooler on! My buddy has a TBSS as well, put PCMofNC cooler on it from day one....150,000+ miles later its still going on the stock trans.
I think you'd be ok towing the vette here and there! Just take it easy!

Welcome nice 06.

There is a lot of information over on tbssowners.com. Also in the link I posted below. I just installed a transcooler and corvette servo on mine. There is no way to see the trans temp from the dash. You need HP tuners or the torque app(with a Bluetooth ODB2 scanner) to see the trans temps. Fixing the oiling issue should be a top priority. There are a few options, PCMof NC pickuptube, c6 oil pan, moroso oil pan, or a baffle kit from dfwiz on tbssowners.com. Run 7 quarts of oil until you get one of those.

Good gouge above, like said trans cooler then overfill your oil by 1/2 or full quart until you decide which route to take to address the junky front sump factory pan. Or you'll be joining another family within the family called the spun rod cousins.

Welcome and enjoy!
