So they had my truck 5 weeks. I got it back and the next morning it stalled and wont restart. They had to get it with a flat bed. They have no idea why it won't start and run. $11,000 + 6 weeks now and all I have to show for it is a pissed off wife and a hole in my wallet and garage.

We found out it has a bad lifter. They took it apart and put a new set of lifters in it. I should have it back in a couple days.

A bad lifter made it not start?

I dunno...I am pretty sure they aren't telling me something. Might have been the maf tuning was so far off that it freaked out after it did the learn cycle. 07's are weird like that. THere is something more to it obviously. The blower, the boost pump, the injectors all got removed and low and behold it started right up and ran. Go figure

There are just times that no matter how hard you try, you can't win. I've been kinda anxious to see how yours comes out, hope it works out soon for you. I know you must be missing your truck.

Thanks, 7 weeks for a motor swap is way beyond unacceptable. We will see what happens when it comes time to settle up. At that point I will have a $2000 rental car bill, $1200 in car payments, a $1300 set of custom valve covers that got beat to hell, a bunch of scratches and stuff all over the front of the truck I noticed last time I was there. Plus the heart ache, the gas for my 15+ trips over there, the 4 days I have taken off of work. I am $6500 into this deal on top of the $11,000 I have already paid them

Ouch, you certainly have a case for a complaint. I wouldn't want to be the guy who has to have that discussion. When someone takes way too long and they are doing it in their garage, that's one thing. It sounds like you are having a bigger name shop do the work for you and that would even add to the frustration even worse. Sorry to hear all the bad news.

I feel your pain man and your not alone. Myself and member "dhpro" have had similar issues with our swaps and neither of ours is running yet and our swaps started in March.
Hope you all get it worked out, and if it's any consolation I'm easily 2-3x further screwed over financially than that!
I wanna tell you to keep positive and you'll be happy in the end...hope that's true for all of us!

March, holy ****! Are you paying a shop to do it? I though I was patient, I would be in jail if someone had my truck since March. You are a saint. Thanks for the kind words. Hopefully your build works out soon, good luck.
