Default 08 TBSS w/ DDM HID's issue

Friend of mine has a 08 TBSS w/ a DDM 35w 6K kit, looks awsome. Only problem is when she locks or unlocks the truck the HID's strobe and the ballest hum. Now when the switch is turned on lights work perfect, my only though is that its not getting enough voltage to fire the bulbs. Anyone have similar issues? Thanks

You should turn the lamps off in the DIC when it gets locked or unlocked....The short bursts like that will kill them in a hurry..

You can find out how to change it in the owners manual. Had to do the same thing for a buddy's truck.

X2 on the DRL Killer. Check the DIC as well, though.

I drove one for a few mo. Got hids did same thing. Put in a relay harness problem solved. On the direct plug in ones its almost a necessity. Ive seen alot flicker from lack of power and almost all my friends have aftermarket hids.
