Will 275/65R20 be possible with 2.5 CCM + 1.25 BL?
#1
Hey guys. I've done a lot of searching, just wanted to double check this real quick.
Will it be possible to fit 275/65R20 on an 09 Sierra SLE (2wd) with a 2.5" CCM and a 1.25" RC BL? I recently order the kits, will be installing within the coming weeks, just haven't bought the tires yet.
The tires will be installed on the factory 20's.
I've seen a lot of guys running 275/60 and 33x12.50, but not 275/65. Just curious. Thanks for the help.
Oh, and if you're currently running this setup and would like to post a pic, that would be great.

I guess the forum's been dead this weekend... it's pretty bad when you have to reply to your own thread.
I did some more looking, and wrote CCM an email, waiting to hear a response in regards to the 3" leveling kit they make (wanted to know if it requires UCA's)... I might just order the 3" instead of the 2.5" depending on what they say.
I found this on the Silverado/Sierra forum, thought I'd share the pic with the group...
2.5" Leveling Kit, 3" BL on 35x12.50R17 (minor fender well trimming)

Considering that 275/65R20's are 34", I might have to do a 3" BL to pull it off, I probably won't have to trim though.
Here's another pic I found on the GMFS forum, 3" Leveling Kit, 3" BL on 275/60R20. I think he could have fit 275/65's.

I'll let you guys know what CCM says, and of course I'll put up install pics after I get the parts.

Thanks for the reply. But, just to make sure I understand correctly, you're saying that the 2.5" leveling kit + 3" BL will fit the 275/65's?
Or is it that the original idea of a 2.5" + 1.25" BL will work for 275/65's as long as I run the stock 20's?

You'll be fine I run a 3.5 rcx lift and a rcx 1.25 body and run 295/70r18 which is a 34.5/11.5 and have no promblems what so ever with rubbing. If I coUld figure out how to post pics off my phone I would. You might be able to see my truck in my garage.

Cool. Thanks guys. I guess the worst thing that could happen is I get to the tire shop, have them mount the 275/65's and find out that I need to trim an inch or so... not the end of the world.
I don't plan on doing it any time soon, but I know that I will probably need to re-gear eventually. Any recommendations? I was thinking 4:10's probably.
I should have the kits ordered this week, I'll post pics of the install and some before and after photos of the truck. I think she's gonna look sharp. Maybe now, I'll be able to finally add a picture to my sig.

So, I ordered the RC 2" leveling kit instead of the CCM, and got it installed over the weekend. I also got the 1.25" BL, but that will have to wait for a long weekend (maybe labor day weekend)...l need a little more time to install the BL.
I purchased a set of 275/60R20 Goodyear Wrangler AT's from tirerack, they should be arriving this week. I wanted to keep the truck looking clean, and as stock as possible, but still have the advantage of extra ground clearance and room for larger tires.
Check out the install thread for pics.
