Want to level nbs 2500hd 4x4.
I got a nbs ext. cad 2500hd and he rack is terrible. I keep seeing something about "green keys" being used. I'm new to this 4x4 stuff and want alittle info. My biggest concern is messing with the ride quality and having alignment problems and increased wear on parts. Any help guys would be greatly apperciated and if you could recommend brands and parts to help me out. Thanks

You should just crank the stock keys that are in it now little by little. Until you get your desired height. If they're maxed out and it's still pretty raked, then you'll need green keys.

Yep, green keys are stock 1/2 ton GM keys that are indexed slightly different. 1/2 ton guys upgrade to Ford keys pretty often, so finding a set of green keys for cheap is usually pretty easy.

Or...if you aren't concerned with running larger tires and want to keep the stock ride quality, alignment, etc., you could put lowering shackles on the rear leafs and bring the rear end down a couple inches to match the front. I don't know if I would do this if you are towing a gooseneck or 5th wheel though.
But if you do want slightly bigger tires, different torsion keys are the way to go. There are also companies that sell leveling kits that include keys and brackets to keep your stock shocks from bottoming out. Google "leveling kits" and you'll see. Or just get the cheaper 1/2 ton keys and some slightly longer shocks like Bilstein 5100's.
