Default Trans Temp Gauge recommendation....

Im looking for a good solid proven accurate trans temp gauge for my 97 Chevy 3/4 ton truck. My truck is my tow pig with a 4L80E trannission and a factory trans cooler but i still want to watch how hot the tranmission is getting. I'll ne towing my camaro to LS fest yearly which is 5 hours each way. Anyway here is my questions...

Who have a good trans temp gauge? I dont mind spending a couple extra dollars for quality.

Is a deep trans pan really worth the money?

Thanks in advance.

i've always had good luck with autometer gauges, they have a lot of options from simple to digital cost will vary

i would install a larger external trans cooler inline before swapping pans, i have a 1/2 04 rcsb 80e swapped when i added a 30k cooler inline my temps dropped from 200'ish to around 160'ish around town

Top line at the radiator is the return for a factory plumbed 4L60, fyi

I have a cooler plumbed in the same way as Smokeshow. I have hit 200 before, but mostly it camps around 150-160. It will hang around 130 with the TC locked on the highway tho. Minty fresh
