Go with the coopers in the E range IMO. Haven't heard anything bad about them, and that's not the first bad review of the nittos I've read.

Passenger tires just don't hold up as well, and the stiffer side-walls will be noticeable. Once you try a set, you won't go back.

You may look into the Cooper ATP as well. I have the LTZ on my Tahoe and have been very happy with them. The new ATP has a very similar tread pattern to the LTZ and is offered in the 265/70/17 you are wanting.

As for the Terra Grapplers, I was considering them when I got the LTZ as I have been pleased with other Nitto tires I've had on the truck but I read a lot of mixed reviews on them. Most of the bad ones were regarding accelerated treadwear and balance issues.

Well i ended up goin with the Cooper AT3's in 265/65/17. I dunno whats up but my gas mileage is poo with the 265/70/17 buckshots. And Cooper has a $75 rebate right now

I havent read a single bad thing about the AT3s yet.. i know a few guys that run them and no complaints..

Cooper is also an American made tire. Nice choice! I have a friend with a set with 15k and they look new.

I applaud your state pride but the Mississippi factories are just two of the four in the US, one in Mexico, two in Europe and two in China. One thing I just learned though is that Cooper also owns Mickey Thompson and Dick Cepek.
