Default need help picking new tires

whats goin on everyone, im looking into buyin a set of all terrains for my truck and need a little advice. ive never ran an a/t before and have no idea what would be an ideal choice for my driving style. the truck is retired from mud, does not see winter and hardley ever rain so those conditions really do not apply to me. although ill have a seperate set of rims on slicks my biggest concern is that id really like something thatll grip well on dry surfaces, wear really doesnt concern me just mostly dry traction n with that being said i have no clue what would be a nice soft compound a/t. if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated!!

thanks

tj

I just retired a set of Hankook dynapro ATM's.. they lasted a long time.

but just put a set of Cooper AT/3's on and love them.. way more grip than the hankooks and dead silent on the interstate.

thanks for the input its much appreciated! ill have to check out the hankooks also, but that cooper is a pretty good looking tire and if its gooey just like ya said that may just be my tire lol. one of my buddys had a set of the Dick cepek fcII's things lasted forever and looked badass, but i dont feel like spending 250/tire. i did find falken a/t's for 187 a piece for a 35 but now with these in the subject ive got some more researching. how much did they run ya if ya dont mind me askin?

Cooper Zeon LTZ or Toyo Open Country A/T are both good tires. I would however stay away from the Nitto Tera Grapplers. They have a very similar tread pattern to the Toyo's but wear out a lot faster and unevenly.

The Nitto Terra Grapplers we had lasted over 55,000 miles andwe never had any wear issues. Pretty sticky. Never had any traction issues and it lived 92% of their lives on the street.

Hankook RF-10 is the best tire on the market if you ask me.

The cooper is a great tire and I like cooper a lot but they generally don't get nearly as many miles. They often are significantly cheaper for that reason. They are still a good value but if you can afford a little more upfront the hankook will be better in every way aside from initial cost.

unfortunitley for me the coopers listed earlier and the ltz aernt available in a 35x12.5R15, so now im a little more limited than id like to be. the nittos were definitley in the question, but ive heard mixed reviews on those as well some people love em others hate em seems like a hit or a miss. i will also be looking into those hankooks, honestly ill be happy if can get a set of tires that last me more than 15k lol. my mtr's (now slicks) now hook better than they ever have, but i really need more... rolling burnouts are cool for a while but get old damn quick! btw not to jack my own thread but are any of you guys using any sort of traction aid? caltracs, procomps ladders etc?
