yeha Ive been lookin for a decent 73-87 around here to wheel. but they didnt survive to well in this climate. So why are you converting the 2wd to a 4wd? when you already got a 4wd frame?

the body and frame on the 85' 2wd are in awesome shape... its got all new cab mounts and everything, a running motor. the 4wd is like a 73 frame so its not in the best of shape and the cab and bed on it were about as garbage as it gets. it just makes more sense to tear the 4wd down to what i need... rip out the xmembers on the 2wd and replace everything wit 4wd driveline... cut a hole for the 4wd shifter and be done wit it ya know.

sorry to get off topic

Doing just fine.

I was kind of wondering about it myself as to why you were doing the swap. One thing that I had heard is that it's easier to just get a 4wd instead of swapping the parts to a 2wd.

Thanks.

thats what i always heard to... but weve been lookin at them on the lifts and everything and it doesnt look as bad as a 88-06 would. like i said if you have all the xmembers and everything for a 4wd you should be in good shape... aside from the cab not have a whole cut in the floor on a 2wd that is the only thing weve found on the body that is different.
