Thinking about lifting?
I searched around the forums but didnt really find much but Ive been thinking about lifting my 04 ECSB 2wd for a little while now and had a few questions. First off is the 7" suspension lift Fabtech makes any good and clear 35's or what would be best to clear 35's maybe 37's??? Now on to the tires, i know i want 20x10 or 20x12 wheels but not real sure on the tires. I like the Nitto Mud Grapplers but ive heard they dont last long on the street and they roar like hell. Are the tires in the link below any good? ive seen a few lifted Dodges around town with them and i like them. Thanks for any and all help!!

I had my 04 lifted with a fabtech 3" spindle kit combined with springtech 2" coil spacers and I could have cleared 35s. I had 33s on it with plenty of room. A 7" kit would easily clear them.

the fabtech kit is ok but it doesnt give you any ground clearance. i personally for a lifted truck would go for this. http://performancelifts.com/cgi-bin/cart/CST0006.html
it will give you a much better ride. better performance if you ever need it and more ground clearance and will def clear 35". Do you need a mud terrain or you just like the look better?

The fabtech is my least favorite lift for the 99-07 trucks. I like superlift, procomp, and rough country lifts. If I had to do it again I would get the rough country kit that doesnt drop the Tbars, I cant remember the name of it.
Oh and forget about going fast if you get a lift and big tires, it totally kills it

if you want x10s or x12s with 35s on a 2wd you will need alot more lift than 7". If you decide to go with the 7" kit I vote Pro Comp xmember drop... install was easy and I have read nothing bad about the kit. You will need a 3" body lift as well to fit 35s tho if you go with 4.5" backspacing.
Here are some diff setups
7" Pro Comp
33x12.5 Toyo Mud
20x10 Gunner 6 w/4.5 bs
7" Pro Comp, 3" Body
37x13.50 Nitto Mud
18x9 XD Spys w/4.5" bs
7" ProComp
35x12.5 Kumhos Mud
18x9 KMC hoss w/ 4.5" bs
7" Pro Comp, 3" Body
35x12.5 Toyo AT
20x10 2crave nx-1 w/4.5 bs (I think)
7" Pro Comp
33x12.5 Toyo Mud
20x10 Gunner 6 w/4.5 bs
7" Pro Comp
33x12.5 Pro Comp XAT
20x10 XD Diesel w/4.5 bs
hope this helps

yeah man that helps alot! so in order to run a x10 wheel i could only run 33's or body lift to go 35's? so i could run x9's with 35x12.5 like the grey GMC and be okay with just the 7" lift and later if i wanted to run 37's i could just body lift it?
