I'm with InchUp on this fact. I'm not running the Kevlar Pro-Grades, but the stock Z71 Goodyear AT/S I think, but a very similar if not identical tread pattern.

I will say, they seem to get great mileage on them. I've got about 29K miles on mine and they look brand spankin new. Now I rotate them often and you have to. If I go a mile over 6000 miles between rotations, these things start vibrating and wear crazy.

And they are absolutely horrible on wet roads. Horrible.....I hate to drive the truck in the rain, no girp whatsoever. They seem to do pretty well on dry and off-road..

I never put goodyear on anything, have seen a ton of defects from brand new tires too.

Thanks guys for all the replies. I still haven't made up my mind, but maybe I'm leaning away from the Goodyear Pro Series Wranglers. I have always been happy with BFG All Terrains, I guess I shouldn't mess with success.

Default Are this tires any good?-updated purchase

Thanks guys for all your replies. I went ahead with the good old BF Goodrich All Terrains in 265/75-16. They are load range D and should take care of my needs. I knew they were heavier duty than the factory tires, and bigger sized from my 245/75-16, but I didn't expect such a gas mileage hit! I was always getting 18.5-18.8 mpg per tank of city driving. This first tank....16.3! Wow! That sucks, but maybe I won't get such a hit on the interstate since the height is taller. The heavier construction and rolling resistance must be significant, since I lost 2.5mpg!

im a die hard bfg tire man, and I'll be that way until I get a bad set. I do also agree that Nitto makes great tires for the prices, The terra grappler is the only other all terrain I would run, and the 555 series are great street tires.
