Default Taking off body spacers

Nephew put a 3" body lift on my truck when I sold it to him. I want it off, can I do this by myself in my driveway? I need to find factory bolts to put back in...

I doubt a junkyard would let you pull the body bolts, but it's worth a try. Check ebay, forums, and craigslist for either bolt sets or people parting out trucks like yours.

If you still come up with nothing, then go to the hardware store and make sure when you get the replacement bolts they have "10.9" stamped on the head. You don't want to skimp on body mount fasteners.

yes its possible to do yourself, you will need a jack and atleast 4 stands, some blocks.....
dont forget to check if there is a steering extender too

you could pull all the bolts and measure, remove the lift and buy new bolts from the hardware store, maybe a grade 5 but id use an 8 just cause
or a auto wrecker can pull the factory bolts for you

Have you started tearing it apart yet? You may want to get the instructions from summitracing.com or one of the body lift manufacturers websites to help you out.

I went to a junk yard, then to Ace Hardware and started this evening. I took my time and I guess it took 7hrs to do the cab. Left for dinner n such... I should have looked at some kits, junk yard said it was only the Frame spacers... Heck I didn't even know bout the front bumper or the steering shaft til I got into it. Noticed the cab wasnt go down easily on driver side and figured it out that the steering shaft had a small ext. on it. Got it off and then it was pretty smooth. I started on the front since it seemed more involved, now it's over and I can start on the bed in the morning. I ended up buying 10.9 bolts at ace, thanks for the advice guys it made it easy to finally get in the mood to attempt this.
