SAS on NNBS 1500.. Never been done on 1500 07+???
#1
I am highly interested in doing a SFA swap on my 2007 GMC Sierra, I know there are alot of things to overcome, my main question is about the steering, as we all know the trucks from 200x came with rack and pinion front steering, will it be a PITA to convert to a standard crossover steering setup? I am wishing to use the dodge AAM 2500 front axle and matching GM rear 2500 axle.. so that i can keep my
ABS, or would it be more economical to do away with the ABS and do something more standard like a dana 44 or 60?
Either way im just wanting to put the idea out there and see what everyone thinks. I really loved my old 77 K10 with K30 running gear.. the crappy ride, the manual trans (part of the swap to the SFA will be swapping to an NV4500 and NP205 case) but hated to lack of dependability, hated the rust, and hated not having AC, stereo, and heat.. I just want to make this the truck my kids will think as fondly of when they grow up.. (dont have kids yet)..
Post up your ideas. Help. Keep the ideas rolling, waiting with anticipation
Thanks
