Default ? regarding rim size & axle replacement

Currently own a 03 Silverado z-71 with a 3 inch body lift & 16" Mickey Thompson Classic rims with 285-70-16 General Grabber AT2's.

Have the stock rear axle but have been looking to upgrade it with a 14 bolt AXN axle. Been reading a lot here on how to do this and all that is necessary in making this all work.

My ??? is if I install this axle on my truck will the 16" rims still fit with the caliper being slightly moved from its current location or will I need to go to a larger rim Diameter????

Thanks

It would be easier and most likely cheaper to put a good posi in the 10 bolt IMO. They can be made strong with a tru trac differential.
