Need shocks for a stock height 2wd ext cab
My Edelbrock IAS's finally fell apart and I ordered a set of KYB's from summit.
They sent me #4326 for the front and #4104 for the rear. That is the part # per both summit and KYB for my application. Unfortunately, the front shocks are about an inch or so too short. I would have to compress the coil spring to just put the top bushing and nut on. The tech guy didn't understand that this is a problem that kills shocks quickly.
Any one has had this problem?
I need new shocks and didn't want to spend an extra $20 per for Bilstiens.
My truck is stock height and 2wd and I'm not looking for super stiff shocks, just better than stock. I have Hotchkis bars and enjoy going around corners. The Edelbrocks were good till they wore out.
Any help appreciated.
