Default more torque for my new tow vehicle 04 express 3500

I’d like some more torque for my new tow vehicle

My new TV 04 chevy express 3500 6.0 4L80. has 360 ft.LBs however it weights

8K LBs it's actually a mini RV.

Towing close to 4K LBs includes trailer.

Please suggest upgrades for increased torque. To help towing. thanks

Gears and a supercharger. I’d go gears first.

They are great for torque which is what you need. Not just for racing. Supercharger with long tubes and a good tune would be a pretty solid towing machine. That and a step up to 4.10’s.

if I did a blower it would be on my TA.

not sure if LTs even fit under the dog house. I've read that thorly shorties fit, not really worth the efort for what you get, correct me if I'm wronge+ the underneth plumbing would be in the way of a exhaust sys.this van has very little ground clearance due to lowered floor & water tanks under floor.
as far as gears I'd like a over drive gear so 3-73 is about as tall as I wanna go.
how much extra torque can I get w/ just a HP tune?

the 1500 savana w/ 5.3 weights under 6.5K feels much stronger than the heavy RV.

4.10's, supercharger or make the engine bigger are kinda all you got.

You can do a camshaft upgrade but that also shifts the torque curve up a little bit.

A tune won't net you much if any real power gains, it will just let you use what it already has there a lot easier. Factory calibrations are made to meet emissions.

I was kindof hopping a HP tuners tune would be a easy few ft. LBs.

Even if you gained 10-15 ft lbs, you'd never really notice such a small increase.

If you want it to tow way better it's going to need a lot more than that. Remember it's only making 360 ft/lbs at the crank, probably only 315-320 is making it to the rear tires.

I'd vote 4:10 gears, maybe even consider 4:56. Are you using the Tow/Haul mode? What RPM are you running? Do you know what axle you have? Seems like these 8 lug vans had either the 14 bolt 10.5" full-float, 9.5" semi-float or even a Dana axle, depending on years. Look into what the larger RVs had as axle ratio; those were even higher GCWR. I think the standard 3500 van GCWR was 16,000 lbs, probably with the higher axle ratio. Seems you can gain some extra capacity with a ratio swap. Do a HP Tuners reflash to correct speedo and shift points.

Was that a conversion?

lol @ "I wAnNa ToW bEtTeR" but I don't wanna do anything to tow better lol

Headers have nothing to do with the dog house, its the frame thats the concern- FYI.

Bolt-ons (cam), gears, tune, boost. Same formula as the trucks. Nothing is different just because the body is different
